This video was filmed during a macaron class last I attended last month at Paris Eastside in Seattle. How gorgeous are my pink macarons with rose petals? The class was lovely and I would so take it again. Next time though I'd bring along a gaggle of girlfriends to make it even more of a good time. It's the perfect venue for a Birthday party or bridal shower. The champs flow at the end of class and you get a few macarons to take home as a memento. Even if you, like me, aren't much of a baker, you'll still thoroughly enjoy the experience.
If you follow me at all on Instagram, it's no secret that May is my Birthday month. Reluctant to admit that my May is coming to an end, I've compiled a wish list of items I'm coveting from Etsy of late. Because even though my Birthday has come and gone, I'm still in the "treat yo self" mindset.
If you all think I love lilacs, that's nowhere near my adoration for peonies. They are my favorite bloom. Luckily they're arrival coincides with my Birthday, so I can give into the indulgence of purchasing bunches of them and not feel a bit guilty. This might actually be the first time that I've purchased peonies where I could actually detect a fragrance. I've always loved them for their beauty alone, but once you catch the scent, you realize they're even more perfect. Next month I'm moving house and will finally have a proper yard, which I can't wait to inundate with peonies.
Unfortunately the peony season is but a brief one, so make the most of it!
I am in dire need of a vacay. And not just any type of vacation will do, but a proper girls trip. My impending May Birthday serves as the perfect excuse.
The adorable Bri Emory, of Design Love Fest, compiled this brilliant video of a girls trip she took to Palm Springs several years ago. I've only been to Palm Springs once and that was at least a decade ago. A return trip appears to be just what the doctor ordered. So the tentative plan is to fly into LA and road trip with some friends to the desert. Then spend a few days in LA after some desert R&R.
I'm scouting hotels and compiling a must do list, but any suggestions of places not to miss would be amaze!
