In December I had the opportunity to view the “Yves Saint Laurent: The Perfection of Style,” exhibit at the Seattle Art Museum.
The exhibit took you through the brainstorming phase of a design, to the execution of a design in muslin, and finally to the end result.
Le Smoking, YSL's feminine version of the tuxedo jacket, is one of his most recognizable contribution to fashion.
The exhibit was on view at the Seattle Art Museum through January 8, 2017, after which it will be on display at the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts. Do go if you have the chance.
