Needing an additional bookshelf for quite some time, I managed to find just the one at the Salvation Army for $20. It's porportions are just what I had in mind for the space and the wicker along either side gives it a bit of character. Next up, finding the perfect "hermes orange" paint to transform the bookshelf into something more impactful than the plain drab brown it is now. I've heard rumors that Benjamin Moore possesses a comparable hue in their fan deck. Here's hoping color matching won't be necessary for this particular project.

Scent of summer
Kai was always my go to scent during the sultry summer months in Savannah. But it works just as well outside of the South. Kai's roll on perfume is the perfect size for travel and I recommend never leaving home without it. Its scent is light enough to be unobtrusive, yet expect it to garner compliments. Beyond Kai's roll on perfume, I'm especially keen on their decadent body butter. Aside from the lovely jasmine and gardenia scent, it works spectacularly.

Start with a spark
Let the holiday celebrating commence. Although in my neck of the woods fireworks have been going off for what feels like weeks already. We've got a cache of sparklers, poppers, and a variety of other fireworks of the tamer variety. Also on hand is a chilled bottle of Skinny Girl margarita, freshly caught crab, and ripe farm stand strawberries. I think we've got all anyone could want on this July 4th weekend.
