There's a new "The Real Housewives of..." type show on the Soap Network, of all places, called "Southern Belles: Louisville". Except, rather than being about housewives, it's about a group of 5 single girls (alleged friends) in their 20's and 30's. The cast includes nouveau riche socialite Shea, divorcee Kellie, wanna-be journalist Emily, aging model Julie, and girl next door Hadley. The first episode aired last night and I've already picked a favorite, Hadley. She's the self professed Carrie Bradshaw "character" of the group. Living in the South you'd think I'd be instantly taken with every television show that is set below the Mason-Dixon line, but I must admit that "The Real Housewives of Atlanta" just did not do it for me. This show on the other hand, I will be watching religiously. Especially now that my favorite Thursday night lineup is in rerun mode.
