Me, circa my fifth Birthday. I was so rocking the Strawberry Shortcake necklace and flower in the hair. That Birthday outfit so trumps the one I wore last night in every way.
The Birthday celebration started the day before my Birthday with cupcakes (chocolate cake with peanut butter frosting) from my coworkers. My actual Birthday was spent as follows: lunch with S at Back in the Day Bakery (caprese sandwich, sweet tea, and a baby cupcake), then a matinee (Ghosts of Girlfriends Past), followed by shopping, dinner with the girls at Local 11 Ten (where we sat in the vault), the evening ended at The Distillery, where multiple gimlets were consumed by me (no one else cared for them). The next day commenced with breakfast at Harris Baking Company (sausage, egg and cheese sandwich on a croissant), shopping on Broughton St, three hour appointment at Vanilla Day Spa (facial, manicure and pedicure), quick outfit change, then met coworkers at Carlito's for dinner and the $50 margarita shared by five (after several hours it was nowhere near being gone, so to go cups it was). All in all the celebration was great fun. And, the gifts, they weren't too shabby either.
Me, circa my sixth Birthday. I don't know why I thought the entire mouth must be filled with air in order to blow out Birthday candles (I don't still think that, in case you were wondering). The kids on my right are STILL my friends and will be forever, the girl the on the left I'm not so sure about.
