Atlanta and Asheville and Charleston! Oh, my!

My Mom is set to arrive in Savannah in a mere ten days.  During part of her stay we plan to get out of dodge.  We're heading to Atlanta and Asheville for two days each.  After a brief stopover back in Savannah it is then on to Charleston for another two days.  If anyone has any recommendations about where to sleep, eat, dine, drink, shop, and places not to miss, I would very much appreciate your advice.

The shop I work as a buyer for in Savannah recently started carrying jewelry by designer Gogo Ferguson of Cumberland Island, Georgia (best known as the locale of JFK Jr. and Carolyn Bessette's nuptials, Gogo designed the couples wedding bands).  "The inspiration of Gogo Ferguson's unique jewelry comes from growing up on unspoiled Cumberland Island.  Gogo honors her heritage by transforming the intricate patterns of bones or shells she collects into spectacular 14K gold or silver jewelry.  Gogo's jewelry is sold in galleries and boutiques nationally and internationally.  Her stores are located in Martha's Vineyard, Cumberland Island, Sea Island and Morocco. "For the most part you cannot improve on nature's designs" and that appreciation for her natural surroundings is how Gogo creates her spectacular jewelry."  As often happens when a new line arrives in the store.  I patiently await my next paycheck then indulge in my favorite piece.  From Gogo's line I selected a pair of silver rattlesnake jawbone earrings.  They're jawdropping (sorry!, just had to).
