Vera Wang to design low end line for Kohls department store. Vera and Kohls have teamed up to create a premium fashion and lifestyle brand called Very Vera by Vera Wang, which will be available in the fall of 2007. The line will include sportswear, intimate apparel, handbags, leather accessories, jewelry, footwear, linens and towels.
Now for another high end / low end partnership that you wont have to wait a year to peruse. Jonathan Adler, Neo-Mod ceramicist and husband to Barney's NY maestro Simon Doonan, has teamed up with Bed Bath & Beyond to produce a line of linens, towels and bathroom accessories. Most of Adler's designs for BB&B are based on his earlier pottery and textile lines. Kate Spade has also recently been added to the BB&B roster of designers, offering an array of china and crystal.
