I'm beyond thrilled with the return of the summer season. It holds the potential for such good times ahead. I always claim spring to be my favorite season but that's only because it means I still have summer to look forward to. On the recent horizon I have a few summer activities planned: an outdoor screening of Back to the Future, a whale watching excursion through the San Juan Islands (a perk of the job and but one of hopefully numerous days spent on the water this summer), a weekend visit from a friend from out of town, and my trip to Savannah at the end of July cannot come soon enough. What are you looking forward to?
Last month after indulging in a facial for my Birthday, the esthetician applied a powdered sunscreen at the end of the treatment. I'm loathe to admit this, but I don't apply sunscreen to my face as often as I should. Even when I lived under the sweltering Savannah sun, I only applied it on occasion. I just have never been keen on the greasy heavy feeling most sunscreens leave behind. The discovery of Eminence Sun-Defense Minerals was a game changer. This light weight organic powder leaves my face shine free with an SPF 30 protection. It's so convenient to take with you and apply throughout the day. With my fare skin I went with #1 Honey Apple, which actually has the scent of its namesake. If you indulge in any new products this summer I highly recommend considering Eminence.
For those not in the know, Barbie has put her Dreamhouse on the market and listed it with none other than Josh Altman. Now she's on the prowl for new accommodations. I must admit I'm coveting the proposed design by Celerie Kemble for Barbie's new digs, chinoiserie chic at its finest.
